I get 23 mpg in my 6.2 with a super charger. The 6.2 is only rated around 1000 more pounds. I think those that say the 6.2 is more thirsty it's because it's a lot more fun to mash on the pedal of the 6.2

2021 Chevrolet Camaro 8 Cyl, 6.2 L, Automatic (S10) Premium Gasoline:

Here is our direct comparison between the existing (not 2019) 5.3l and 6.2l v8s. Because of the terrain, either going uphill or downhill, cylinder deactivation in the 6.2 & 5.3l engines may not improve fuel economy. If you like the 3.42 gears, get the 5.3 engine.

I Honestly Like The Power Of 6.2 Over The 5.3 I Had In My Last Truck, The Gas Mileage Is About 16Mpg With Regular, It Was Only 14.1 In My 2011 Crewcab With A 5.3.

If you drive 15000 miles a year and gas is $3.00/gal, you’re talking less than $500 a year difference in fuel costs. The 5.3 is great with light loads under 8000 pounds and does not seem to have the power to go much higher than that. Epa mpg owner mpg estimates 2021.

That Is A Huge Performance Gain For The Bigger V8.

I’ve repeatedly gotten 26 mpg with my 2019 when cruising. Also, if you do the math, the difference between fuel costs on a vehicle that gets 16 mpg vs one that gets 14 mpg is minimal. In that gearing, the 5.3 outperforms the 6.2 for payload and towing.

I Have Yet To Use Premium, I Don't Haul A Lot Of Weight And There Is No Knocking Or Pinging.

Mpg estimates from drivers like you! If you're set on a 6.2 engine, get the 3.73 if you're towing much. I really don't think the average driver will notice the fuel economy difference anyways.

My 2019 Rst 5.3 Blows My 2014 Silverado 5.3 Out Of The Water When It Comes To Fuel Economy Regardless Of What Bs Epa Estimate They Give.

With that being said, it depends on what you will be doing with your vehicle. I would say that overall i am getting around 2 mpg better than my 2014 5.3l. The 6.2 is only rated around 1000 more pounds.
